Police investigating the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal took the accused, Siya Goyal, to Lohagad Fort near Pune to reconstruct the events. Siya, the victim’s fiancee, admitted to planning the murder with her associate Chetan. The reconstruction revealed that Chetan pushed Ketan, causing him to fall to his death.
During the recreation, Siya disclosed the entire conspiracy to the police. She was supposed to distract Ketan while Chetan attacked him from behind. The police video-recorded Siya’s confession and the reenactment for further investigation.
The probe uncovered that Siya and Chetan had researched ways to kill Ketan before the crime. They had even practiced their alibis and planned to disguise themselves during the murder. Both accused had deleted their chat history and sent their phones for forensic analysis.
