The Police in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, successfully rescued a two-year-old girl who was abducted from the Baidhan Bus Stand and taken to Jharkhand within 36 hours of the complaint. The incident took place on May 16 when the girl’s father, who was sleeping with her at the bus stand, discovered her missing late at night. Suspecting abduction, he reported the case to the Baidhan Police Station.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Singrauli Superintendent of Police Shiayaz K.M. was formed, deploying 10 teams with around 150 police personnel to track the missing girl. The SIT, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, initiated search operations at various locations, including railway stations, bus stands, hospitals, and riverbanks, while analyzing CCTV footage and sharing the girl’s information widely.
Following a technical analysis of CCTV footage, the police identified a man accompanying the girl towards Jharkhand. Subsequently, the suspect, a resident of Masiato village in Jharkhand’s Latehar district, was apprehended by special police teams dispatched to Jharkhand. The accused was captured at his residence, and the girl was safely rescued and reunited with her family.
