Police in Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir, have confiscated a Swift car worth around Rs 6,80,960, believed to be purchased with money from drug trafficking. The vehicle, registered as JK13J-3347 and owned by Ishfaq Ahmad Koka, was identified as acquired through illegal drug sales.

The seizure was carried out under Section 68 of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 04/2026 at Police Station Zainapora. The police emphasized that all legal procedures were strictly followed during the operation.

Law enforcement authorities reiterated their dedication to eliminating drug-related issues in the district and urged the public to provide any information regarding drug trafficking or other illicit activities. Security forces, including the Army and the BSF, are actively working to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities along the Line of Control and the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Efforts are ongoing to combat terrorism and apprehend individuals involved in drug smuggling, peddling, and illicit financial operations, which are suspected to fund terrorism activities in the region.
