A 32-year-old police trainee, Bhaiyasab Maruti Vhavle, was discovered dead at the Kalina Police Training Centre in Santacruz, with a suicide note blaming his girlfriend’s parents for pressuring him to end the relationship. Vhavle, a new police driver from Parbhani district, Maharashtra, was undergoing training at the facility.

Authorities confirmed finding the deceased’s body in his room at the police quarters on-site. The Vakola police station reported recovering an alleged suicide note from Vhavle’s possession, where he detailed facing threats and pressure due to his relationship with a woman from a neighboring district.

The suicide note mentioned that the deceased and his girlfriend had planned to marry, but her parents vehemently opposed the union. Allegations in the note included threats to Vhavle and his family members, leading to significant mental distress. Vakola police have registered a case of abetment of suicide against the woman’s parents, pending further investigation.

Investigations are ongoing to verify the claims made in the suicide note, with forensic examinations and handwriting verification of the note in progress. Call data records of the deceased and individuals mentioned in the note are also under scrutiny. Statements from relevant parties are being recorded as part of the active inquiry, with no arrests made yet.
