A tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district resulted in the death of a Special Operations Group (SOG) policeman and left another officer injured. The incident occurred at the Bailey Bridge in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir. The two SOG personnel were in an official vehicle when it collided with the bridge’s steel girder, causing injuries to both officers.
The injured officers were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Regrettably, one of them, identified as Tariq Ahmad from Hanjura, succumbed to his injuries, while the other, Riyaz Ahmed, is currently receiving treatment. Police authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident and are awaiting further details.
