Amid the intense summer heat in Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Leader of Opposition K. Chandrasekhar Rao engaged in a heated exchange of words. At separate public gatherings, the two leaders traded barbs and issued challenges to each other.
Chandrasekhar Rao, addressing a public meeting in Jagtial, expressed confidence in his party’s return to power and pledged to abolish the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency as a priority. He also welcomed former minister T. Jeevan Reddy into his party, appointing him as the General Secretary.
In response, Revanth Reddy vowed to defeat both Chandrasekhar Rao’s party and the leader himself in the upcoming elections. He even challenged to change his name if he fails to remove Chandrasekhar Rao as the Leader of Opposition.
The Chief Minister, addressing a public gathering in Nasturapally, criticized the alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram project initiated during Chandrasekhar Rao’s tenure. He accused Chandrasekhar Rao of misusing public funds and highlighted the state government’s decision to involve the CBI in the investigation.
