Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan listened to the broadcast in his ancestral village in Odisha, accompanied by party members and local residents, emphasizing grassroots engagement. In West Bengal, Union Minister J.P. Nadda tuned in at the party office in Bardhaman, showcasing widespread participation.
Senior BJP leader Smriti Irani and party spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also joined party workers in West Bengal to listen to the broadcast, highlighting the event’s significance. In Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, along with other officials, participated in public listening sessions. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya of Uttar Pradesh also joined party workers, underlining the broad engagement of political leaders.
During the broadcast, PM Modi stressed the importance of the upcoming national census, describing it as a crucial national exercise. He emphasized the need for citizen involvement, stating that the census is not solely a government task but a collective responsibility. PM Modi encouraged active participation in Census 2027, highlighting that it would be the first digital census. Originally planned for 2021, the census was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
