Political tensions are escalating as Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares to visit Singur, 17 years after Tata Motors relocated its Nano car plant to Gujarat. Controversy sparked when anti-BJP posters surfaced in Singur’s Ratanpur area, criticizing the Prime Minister with slogans like ‘Nagorikotto haran sabha’ and ‘Bangalider keno dhoka dile.’

A political dispute ensued over the origin of these posters, with the BJP accusing the Trinamool Congress of orchestrating the act to disrupt PM Modi’s rally. In response, the ruling party claimed the posters reflect public discontent towards the BJP-led central government.

BJP leader Swapan Pal attributed the posters to TMC, suggesting fear of PM Modi’s impact in Singur. On the other hand, Trinamool leader Amiya Dhara denied involvement, dismissing BJP’s industry-related claims as unrealistic and asserting that BJP’s rise to power in Bengal is improbable.

Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate projects worth Rs 830 crore and address a public gathering from the abandoned Tata Nano plant site in Singur. The event is eagerly anticipated for insights into Bengal’s industrial future.
