Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer’s strong partnership helped Punjab Kings secure a seven-wicket win against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Iyer’s decision to field first paid off as Mumbai Indians, missing Rohit Sharma, posted 195/6 with Quinton de Kock’s unbeaten 112.

In response, Prabhsimran and Iyer’s stellar batting guided Punjab Kings to victory. Prabhsimran’s unbeaten 80 off 39 balls and Iyer’s 66 off 35 ensured Punjab Kings reached 198/3 in just 16.3 overs. This win propelled Punjab Kings to the top of the points table with nine points.

Prabhsimran’s impressive form continued with his second fifty of IPL 2026, while Iyer notched his third consecutive half-century. Despite Mumbai Indians’ efforts, including De Kock’s century, Punjab Kings dominated the chase. With this victory, Punjab Kings maintained their strong position in the tournament.

Chasing a challenging 196, Punjab Kings overcame a shaky start to secure the win. Prabhsimran and Iyer’s partnership proved crucial, with both players showcasing exceptional skills. Their performance, combined with Mumbai Indians’ fielding lapses, sealed the match in Punjab Kings’ favor.
