Filmmaker Prakash Jha revealed that his upcoming film will be his most political work to date. Despite having directed politically themed movies like ‘Gangajal’ and ‘Raajneeti,’ his latest project stands out for its strong political narrative. Jha, known for his socially conscious cinema, shared insights about the film during a recent interview with the London Indian Film Festival.
When asked about his return to political cinema, Jha expressed, “It’s already done. The next film, which I’ve just completed, we’ll be talking about that in detail at the right time. For now, I can say that this is my most political film.” He emphasized that his previous works, including ‘Raajneeti,’ focused more on power struggles than core political issues like ideologies and human rights. The filmmaker hinted that his new project delves deeper into contemporary politics.
