Mumbai, August 11 (IANS) Marathi actor-director Prasad Oak recently took a nostalgic Bollywood route during a visit to the iconic Grand Central railway station at New York.

The actor recreated the iconic Shah Rukh Khan moment from the 2003 romantic drama ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. His wife, actress and entrepreneur Manjiri Oak, also joined him in the fun recreation.

Prasad shared a video from the station on social media, where he can be seen posing in a manner reminiscent of Shah Rukh Khan’s popular screen persona and also reciting the iconic dialogue from Kal Ho Na Ho.

Manjiri is also seen featuring in the frame, adding a playful touch to the recreation.

Sharing the picture, Manjiri wrote in Marathi that further in English read as, “Who knows if this station will be here tomorrow, so posting it right away.”

She further added a playful disclaimer about Prasad’s impersonation and wrote, “P.S. — Prasad’s mimicry turned out to be a little Shah Rukh and a little Amitabh Bachchan, but the feelings are what matter.”

The post featured the dialogue from ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, which was directed by director Nikkhil Advani in 2003.

The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in important roles. Set largely in New York, the film followed Naina Catherine Kapur, whose life changes after she meets Aman Mathur, played by Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking about Prasad Oak, he has himself had a long and diverse career, predominantly in Marathi cinema and television. He began his career in theatre and later became a familiar face on Marathi television, appearing in shows including ‘Avaghachi Sansar’, ‘Asambhav’ and ‘Honar Soon Mi Hya Gharchi’.

As a filmmaker, Prasad directed ‘Kaccha Limboo’, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. He subsequently directed films including ‘Hirkani’ and ‘Chandramukhi’. As an actor, he has featured in films such as ‘Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar’, ‘Dharmaveer’, ‘Dharmaveer 2’, ‘Phullwanti’ and the Hindi film ‘Blackout’.
