Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor emphasized that the party’s goal goes beyond winning elections or holding political positions in Bihar. The party aims to revolutionize the state’s political scenario by promoting a shift away from caste, religion, and personality-driven politics. Kishor highlighted the importance of voters choosing candidates based on merit rather than traditional affiliations.
Despite campaigning extensively for three years, Jan Suraaj Party has not garnered the expected public support for electoral success, Kishor admitted. He emphasized the need for people to vote for change and support alternative candidates to bring about a new political landscape in Bihar. Kishor remains undeterred by electoral setbacks, expressing his commitment to his mission.
Looking ahead to the Bankipur Assembly bypoll, Kishor emphasized that the outcome rests solely with the voters. He stressed the voters’ responsibility in determining the election results and the significance of presenting an honest alternative to the public. Kishor highlighted the importance of public support in shaping the political future of Bihar.
Kishor also commented on the vacancy in the Bankipur Assembly constituency following Nitin Nabin’s resignation. He questioned the BJP’s decision to have Nabin resign as MLA after becoming the party’s national president. Kishor viewed the upcoming bypoll as an opportunity for the public to evaluate the BJP’s leadership and policies.
