The President’s remarks came during a public event in Rourkela, where she inaugurated various projects including a Planetarium, Science Centre, Tribal Museum, and Integrated Command and Control Centre.
President Murmu praised the natural beauty, folk culture, and heritage of Sundargarh district in Odisha, describing it as charming and culturally rich. She also acknowledged the district’s significance as a hub for brave individuals and sports enthusiasts. The President noted the diverse population in Rourkela, emphasizing its role in promoting art, literature, culture, tribal traditions, and sports in Odisha.
Emphasizing the need for holistic development, President Murmu stated that the nation’s progress hinges on the advancement of every societal segment. She highlighted the government’s efforts towards tribal welfare and economic upliftment in tribal-dominated districts like Sundargarh. The President urged citizens to actively engage in the nation’s development process, calling for collective efforts to achieve a developed India by 2047 and a developed Odisha by 2036.
