President Droupadi Murmu installed the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, marking a significant milestone in the temple’s construction. The Yantra, placed on the second floor, symbolizes completeness, signifying the end of the temple’s construction. Vedic scholars from southern India, Kashi, and Ayodhya conducted the religious ceremonies under the guidance of priest Ganeshwar Shastri.
Extensive arrangements were made for the President’s visit, with Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak welcoming her. The President is set to honor around 400 workers who contributed to the temple’s construction and will also raise a flag at one of the shrines in the parkota area. The city of Ayodhya has been adorned with saffron flags and banners, creating a festive and devotional atmosphere for the occasion.
Authorities have ensured tight security, sanitation, and traffic management for the visit. Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde mentioned that VIP darshan will be closed during the day, with general devotees allowed entry except when the President is present. Senior Superintendent of Police, Ayodhya, Gaurav Grover, highlighted the comprehensive security measures in place to guarantee safety during the visit.
