President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the Government of India’s efforts in the last decade to ensure citizens’ health and access to quality healthcare. She stressed that a healthy population is vital for a strong nation, emphasizing the need for disease prevention and timely medical care. The President launched a nationwide campaign by PD Hinduja Hospital, focusing on saving lives and promoting a healthier India.
The President underscored that healthcare is integral to nation-building and a collective responsibility. She called for collaboration among stakeholders to ensure even the most vulnerable receive proper medical attention. Emphasizing the mission of “Affordable World Class Healthcare Services to All,” she outlined the country’s progress towards the ‘Viksit Bharat’ goal by 2047.
She expressed confidence in achieving the goal through collective efforts, aiming for timely access to quality healthcare for all citizens. The President lauded the presence of over 180,000 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs providing healthcare services nationwide. She mentioned the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, offering health coverage to around 12 crore families annually.
