President, Ministers Extend Mahashivratri Greetings to Nation

On Mahashivratri, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed warm wishes to the nation, seeking Lord Shiva’s blessings for peace and progress. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also extended heartfelt greetings to the citizens, emphasizing the significance of the occasion and praying for unity and prosperity. Additionally, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared their good wishes for the well-being and happiness of the country on this auspicious day.

Devotees nationwide gathered at Shiva temples and holy sites to observe Mahashivratri, engaging in prayers, rituals, and sacred rituals with deep devotion. This festival holds great importance in Hindu culture as it honors Lord Shiva and celebrates the divine union of Shiva and Parvati, symbolizing auspiciousness and spiritual significance.
