President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the crucial role played by empowered women in driving social progress and shaping the future of the nation. She stressed that educated and self-reliant women are instrumental in the development of India, which she described as a vibrant nation, not just a piece of land.

Speaking at the conclusion of a two-day national conference of women thinkers titled “Bharti — Naari Se Narayani” at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, President Murmu underlined the significance of women in Indian tradition. She noted that women are not only seen as family protectors but also as embodiments of knowledge, strength, and prosperity.

President Murmu commended the achievements of Indian women across various fields such as education, science, administration, sports, entrepreneurship, and social service. She emphasized the need for women to have equal opportunities, respect, and security for the real progress of society.

Encouraging young girls to pursue their aspirations with confidence and contribute actively to the nation’s progress, President Murmu highlighted the transformative impact of empowered women on families, society, and the nation as a whole. She expressed confidence that Indian women, with their knowledge, leadership, and empathy, will lead the country to greater heights of success.
