President Murmu made these remarks while attending the International Fleet Review in Visakhapatnam, where she witnessed a remarkable display of warships and naval personnel from India and friendly nations.
She emphasized the Indian Navy’s crucial role as the first responder during humanitarian crises and natural disasters, providing swift and compassionate assistance. Additionally, President Murmu underscored the Navy’s efforts in fostering goodwill and nurturing trust and friendship with navies worldwide. She noted that the participation of numerous friendly countries at the event symbolizes unity across the seas, promoting a shared heritage and purpose.
President Murmu expressed confidence that the collaborative efforts showcased at the International Fleet Review will contribute to the prosperity and well-being of the global community by leveraging the oceans as pathways for growth. She highlighted the theme of the event, “United Through Oceans,” as a powerful message of solidarity and determination in overcoming challenges collectively. The President stressed India’s commitment to international relations guided by the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ emphasizing the importance of partnerships in ensuring global security and sustainable growth.

She mentioned that the Fleet Review event aligns with India’s vision of MAHASAGAR, emphasizing mutual and holistic advancement for security and growth across regions. The event was attended by dignitaries including Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and his wife Anna Konidela.
