President Droupadi Murmu received credentials from diplomats representing Lao PDR, Congo, Namibia, and Guinea-Bissau at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Ambassador of Laos highlighted the strong and friendly bilateral relations dating back to 1956. India’s ties with Congo, including a significant Indian expat community, were also underscored during the ceremony.

Wing Commander Alex Lunyazo Tukuhupwele (Retd.), the High Commissioner of Namibia, presented his credentials, emphasizing the deepening relations between the two countries. Meanwhile, Antonio Serifo Embalo, the Ambassador of Guinea-Bissau, highlighted his extensive diplomatic experience across various countries.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia praised the growing ties with India, mentioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s State Visit in 2025. Ambassador Embalo, with a background in Tourism Economics, previously held ministerial roles in Guinea-Bissau.
