President Droupadi Murmu awarded Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old cricket talent, with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar for his outstanding achievements in cricket. The award ceremony in Delhi recognized children excelling in various fields like Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Art & Culture, and Science & Technology. This prestigious award is India’s highest civilian honor for individuals aged five to 18, acknowledging exceptional accomplishments in diverse areas.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, known for his remarkable feats in cricket, was praised by the President for his success in the competitive cricket world and his record-breaking performances. Following the award ceremony, he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi before rejoining the India Under-19 squad for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup preparations in Zimbabwe starting from January 15. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also congratulated Suryavanshi for his achievements, highlighting his exceptional talent and contributions to the sport.
