Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, are accused of conspiring to murder businessman Ketan Agarwal by pushing him into a gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Initially, Siya claimed it was an accidental fall, but police grew suspicious due to inconsistencies in her statements, leading to their arrest on murder and conspiracy charges.
Investigators revealed that Siya had previously attempted to kill Ketan on June 14 by pushing him off the fort, but he survived. Allegedly, she lured Ketan back to the fort where Chetan joined in pushing him to his death. The accused are set to appear in court for custody extension hearings.
