PM Modi also acknowledged the increasing role of women in local governance institutions, with over 14 lakh women currently active in such roles across India.
Emphasizing the positive impact of women’s involvement in decision-making, PM Modi cited examples such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, where women’s participation at the grassroots level has led to more effective outcomes in areas like water, education, health, and nutrition. He expressed confidence that initiatives like Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam will further empower women, facilitating their journey from local governance to national leadership positions.
PM Modi outlined various government schemes aimed at women’s welfare, including ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao,’ Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. He called for unified political support to advance women’s rights and urged lawmakers to spread awareness about the Nari Shakti Vandan program across the country. The Prime Minister stressed that ensuring women’s participation in decision-making processes is vital for a prosperous future for the nation.
