Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended Indian sportspersons for their achievements and encouraged the nation to set ambitious goals for the Olympics, citing the country’s increasing success in sports as a reflection of its growing aspirations. Speaking at the NDA Conclave, Modi praised the performance of young athletes and emphasized the importance of aiming higher on the global sports stage.

At the event, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) congratulated Prime Minister Modi for becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister and lauded his leadership and the accomplishments of the NDA government as ‘iconic.’ The conclave, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, highlighted India’s progress as a major professional sports hub and expressed confidence in the country’s rising stature in the sporting world.

Modi underlined India’s emergence as a host for prominent sporting leagues and predicted a further enhancement of this reputation in the future. He stressed that India’s Olympic preparations symbolize the nation’s aspirations and called for a bold and ambitious approach towards achieving success in sports. The Prime Minister urged athletes and stakeholders to dream big and work tirelessly to realize their goals.

During the conclave, Modi reiterated his government’s commitment to reforms, drawing a parallel between India’s advancements in sports and its broader development agenda. He emphasized that for India, reform is not just a necessity but a deeply held conviction, signaling the country’s rapid progress on the path of reform and growth.
