Prime Minister Narendra Modi held discussions with Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing at Hyderabad House in Delhi to enhance the relationship between the two nations.
The leaders focused on bolstering cooperation in various sectors such as trade, economics, technology, and people-to-people connections. President Hlaing is also set to meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and visit cultural sites in Delhi.
Earlier interactions included President Hlaing meeting National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to discuss security collaboration. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also engaged with the Myanmar President to deepen bilateral ties.
President U Min Aung Hlaing’s visit marks his first official trip to India since assuming office, emphasizing the historical and cultural bonds between the two countries. The visit aims to strengthen partnerships and promote regional peace and prosperity.
