Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Faridpur, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Lal, aged 65, suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away on Friday. Known for his dedication to public welfare, his demise is a significant loss to the party.
Dr. Lal fell ill during a meeting in Bareilly chaired by Uttar Pradesh’s Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh. Despite being rushed to Medicity Hospital on Pilibhit Road, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Forest Minister Arun Saxena, who witnessed the incident, described Dr. Lal’s health deteriorating rapidly during the meeting.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed his condolences, describing Dr. Shyam Bihari Lal as a respected academic and political figure. Lal, a former professor at Rohilkhand University, served as the MLA for the Faridpur Assembly constituency for two consecutive terms.
