Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Daman on Friday to inaugurate the new terminal building of NAMO Airport and dedicate the NAMO hospital to the nation. The Union Territory is abuzz with excitement as final preparations are underway for the Prime Minister’s visit, with heightened security measures in place around the venue for his public rally.
The projects, including ‘Namo Hospital’ and ‘Namo Airport,’ are anticipated to bring about a “new era” in healthcare and transportation in the region. Additionally, the laying of foundation stones for key projects like the iconic bridge and convention center is expected to boost tourism and economic growth in the future.
The local population is eagerly looking forward to welcoming PM Modi, with BJP leader Aspi Damania noting that this marks the Prime Minister’s eighth visit to Daman. During his visit, PM Modi will dedicate himself to the nation and lay the foundation stones for 56 development projects totaling around ₹2,970 crore.
Among the highlighted projects are the New Terminal Building at NAMO Airport, aimed at enhancing regional air connectivity and fostering economic growth, and the NAMO Hospital, which will serve approximately 1,500 OPD patients daily, improving access to quality healthcare services for the residents.
