Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Daman and Gujarat, inaugurating projects totaling around Rs 2,970 crore. These projects cover healthcare, civil aviation, tourism, infrastructure, and public welfare sectors, aiming to boost economic development and enhance public services. Notably, the new terminal building at NAMO Airport in Daman was inaugurated to improve regional air connectivity and support tourism growth.
The visit also saw the dedication of NAMO Hospital, expected to enhance medical services for residents of Daman and neighboring areas. The diverse projects unveiled in Daman encompass healthcare, civil aviation, tourism, infrastructure development, public welfare, and transport connectivity, with a significant focus on overall development in the region. Additionally, foundation stones were laid for major port-related projects in Lakshadweep, valued at around Rs 885 crore, to enhance maritime connectivity and support local livelihoods.
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Surat and Daman included the launch of projects worth nearly Rs 18,800 crore, emphasizing government investment in connectivity, public infrastructure, healthcare, and regional development. The combined value of projects launched during this visit exceeded Rs 21,000 crore, showcasing a commitment to advancing various sectors for the benefit of the regions.
