Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received the prestigious ‘Agricola Medal’ from the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), marking a moment of immense national pride. Padma Shri awardee Bharat Bhushan Tyagi expressed profound joy at this international recognition, emphasizing its significance for the entire nation. Tyagi praised Prime Minister Modi for elevating coarse grains, particularly millets, onto the global stage, enhancing India’s reputation globally since 2014.
The farming couple, popularly known as ‘Kisan Chacha’ and ‘Kisan Chachi,’ also shared their happiness over the FAO honor.
