As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to surpass Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as India’s longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister on June 10, leaders from the BJP and Janata Dal (United) have commended his tenure. BJP leaders nationwide view this upcoming milestone as a moment of national pride, highlighting Modi’s strong governance and public trust.

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma emphasized that while the Prime Minister’s focus is not on setting records, his work inherently becomes a record. Sharma praised Modi’s extensive contributions to the country, noting the significant impact of his leadership. BJP spokesperson T.R. Srinivas lauded Modi as a dedicated servant of Bharat Mata, emphasizing his commitment to national security and inclusive development.

JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad expressed national pride in Modi’s achievements since 2014, citing the fulfillment of several national goals. Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad extended congratulations to Modi on behalf of the NDA, acknowledging his record-breaking tenure and governance achievements. BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain highlighted the transformative changes witnessed under Modi’s leadership across various sectors, elevating India’s global standing.

Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar underscored Modi’s development vision, particularly the goal of establishing a ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047.’ Rajbhar praised Modi’s dedication to national progress and the trust placed in him by the Indian populace. Official records indicate that Modi, who assumed office on May 26, 2014, will mark 4,399 consecutive days in office on June 10, surpassing Nehru’s previous record.
