Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 30 million subscribers on YouTube, solidifying his position as the most-followed world leader on the platform. This milestone places PM Modi at the top of the global rankings among current and former heads of government in terms of subscriber count. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro holds the second position with around 6.6 million subscribers, a fraction of PM Modi’s impressive subscriber base.
PM Modi’s digital presence on YouTube far exceeds that of US President Donald Trump, with over seven times the number of subscribers. This substantial difference underscores the extent of PM Modi’s online engagement and international reach. Domestically, PM Modi’s subscriber count dwarfs that of other Indian political figures, with nearly three times more subscribers than Rahul Gandhi and over four times more than individual channels of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Indian National Congress.
With a subscriber base exceeding 30 million, PM Modi’s YouTube channel now ranks as the most subscribed among global leaders, highlighting his continued dominance in the digital communication sphere. Additionally, PM Modi recently achieved another milestone on Instagram, surpassing 100 million followers and becoming the first serving world leader to reach this milestone on the platform. His active and widely followed digital presence on Instagram reflects a strategic outreach approach that resonates with audiences both in India and worldwide.
PM Modi also holds a significant lead on Instagram among international leaders, with a follower count more than double that of US President Donald Trump. The combined followers of the next five major world leaders do not match PM Modi’s individual tally. On other platforms, PM Modi maintains a strong presence with 106.3 million followers on X and 54 million followers on Facebook, showcasing his extensive global reach and strong connections, particularly with younger audiences.
