Under this initiative led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thousands of youths have received financial aid to kickstart their own businesses. In Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, Priyanshu Sharma is a prime example of someone who utilized the PM’s Mission Yuva scheme to establish his enterprise, becoming a source of inspiration for his community.
Priyanshu Sharma, a beneficiary of the scheme, shared that he secured a loan of Rs 10 lakh, which facilitated the launch of his business. He highlighted the scheme’s role in fostering self-reliance and financial independence among young entrepreneurs. Sharma emphasized the significance of such initiatives in fostering entrepreneurship, curbing unemployment, and bolstering the economic prospects of the nation’s youth.
The PM YUVA initiative encourages young individuals to nurture their entrepreneurial aspirations and contribute to cultivating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. Launched in 2016 under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the PM-YUVA Yojana aims to offer entrepreneurship education and training through various institutes nationwide. It targets over 14.5 lakh students over five years, providing mentoring support and fostering entrepreneurship as a viable career path.
