Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for the first season of “Elle,” the prequel to the popular romantic comedy “Legally Blonde.” The series will delve into Elle Woods’ life before her Harvard days, showcasing her high school experiences in 1995, including friendships, romance, and style choices. Throughout the challenges she faces, Elle’s bond with her family becomes a source of strength, shaping her into the beloved character fans know.
“Elle,” created by Laura Kittrell and co-showrun by Caroline Dries, boasts a stellar lineup of executive producers including Reese Witherspoon and Jason Moore, who also directs the initial episodes. The core cast features Lexi Minetree as Elle Woods, alongside June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott as her parents, with a supporting cast including Jacob Moskovitz and Gabrielle Policano.
The series, produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Hello Sunshine, is set to premiere on July 1, exclusively on Prime Video. Notably, a second season of “Elle” has already been greenlit by Prime Video.
