Priyanka Gandhi, Congress General Secretary and Wayanad MP, expressed concern about alleged corruption in the NEET UG exam for medical college admissions. She accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government of failing to prevent malpractices that jeopardize the future of youth. Gandhi highlighted the impact of corruption on nearly 23 lakh students, questioning the effectiveness of anti-leak laws.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) stated that the NEET (UG) 2026 exam was conducted with full security measures, following reports of irregularities. The NTA cooperated with investigating agencies after allegations surfaced. The NTA commended the law enforcement agencies for their prompt actions in response to the situation.
Investigations are ongoing regarding allegations of a leaked “guess paper” with questions similar to the actual exam. Additionally, the Delhi Police rescued 18 NEET aspirants from confinement by a gang promising guaranteed MBBS admissions for a hefty fee. The rescued aspirants were assisted in appearing for the exam after counseling.
