Gandhi Vadra questioned the necessity of using force against students, emphasizing that they are the future of the nation. She highlighted the importance of addressing genuine concerns in the Education Policy, mentioning ongoing efforts by Rahul Gandhi to raise these issues.
Tensions arose on Parliament Street in Delhi as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its supporters participated in the “Sansad Chalo” protest, demanding accountability from the government regarding the NEET-UG paper leak case. The protesters faced a light police presence as they attempted to move towards Parliament House to address their grievances.
CJP representatives presented their demands to Union Minister J.P. Nadda, who assured them of internal discussions within the leadership regarding the protestors’ concerns. The protest aimed to push for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in light of the NEET-UG paper leak case and other exam-related irregularities, including the 12th CBSE Board.
The Delhi Police refuted claims of detaining or arresting CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke during the protests near Parliament. Earlier reports suggesting Dipke’s detention were dismissed by the police, clarifying that he was present at the protest stage amid circulating misinformation.
