Addressing the House under the supervision of Krishna Prasad Tenneti, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized the ruling party for quoting and praising former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, whom they typically criticize. She pointed out the irony of their sudden respect for Nehru, drawing applause from the Opposition.
Priyanka Gandhi defended Rahul Gandhi’s integrity, noting that he has stood firm against government attacks over the past 12 years. She commended him for his commitment to truth-telling, contrasting his steadfastness with what she perceived as the government’s discomfort with the truth.
Amid discussions on the motion against Speaker Om Birla, Priyanka Gandhi’s remarks added to the ongoing debate in the House. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, in response to the motion, emphasized the importance of all members, regardless of party affiliation, adhering to constitutional laws and regulations.
