Ritik, who had taken the NEET-UG exam in Kanpur on May 3, faced mental stress after the exam was canceled due to a paper leak allegation. The family reported that Ritik struggled with anxiety following the exam cancellation.
The family revealed that Ritik’s mental state deteriorated due to the NEET exam cancellation. Priyanka Gandhi criticized the corruption in exams, emphasizing how it impacts the youth. She questioned the lack of accountability in such incidents and called for a halt to this cycle of events.
Ritik Mishra tragically died by suicide at his home in Lakhimpur Kheri. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. The NEET-UG 2026 exam, which was canceled on May 3 due to a paper leak, will be reconducted on June 21. The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing the alleged paper leak and has made arrests in connection with the case.
