In a tragic incident in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district, a well-known farmer and nursery operator, Raju Kumar Chaudhary (40), was fatally shot while at his village grocery store. Chaudhary, honored previously by former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his agricultural contributions, was attacked by three unidentified assailants who shot him in the head. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Chaudhary succumbed to his injuries upon arrival, leaving the community in shock.

The assailants, arriving on a motorcycle, engaged Chaudhary in conversation before opening fire and fleeing the scene, prompting panic in the area. Described as a diligent and forward-thinking farmer, Chaudhary’s death has deeply affected his family and neighbors, who admired his dedication to agriculture and nursery management. The police have initiated a thorough investigation, examining CCTV footage and exploring all leads to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this heinous crime.

Muzaffarpur Rural Superintendent of Police Rajesh Singh Prabhakar has personally intervened in the case, visiting the victim’s family and coordinating efforts to gather crucial information. With the involvement of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and a dedicated police team, authorities are optimistic about identifying and apprehending the suspects soon. The community mourns the loss of a respected figure and awaits justice for the senseless act that claimed Chaudhary’s life.
