Local residents and family members in Patna protested seeking justice for Bittu, a young man who was allegedly beaten to death by a group of youths in the Danapur police station area. The victim’s mother urged for justice, emphasizing the brutality of the attack and calling for arrests to be made by the police.
She claimed that around 20 to 25 boys had attacked her son from behind. The family sought the intervention of local MP Ram Kripal Yadav for justice. Police recovered bricks and iron rods from the crime scene, confirming the incident and stating that forensic experts were investigating the matter.
SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj confirmed the attack, mentioning that Bittu Kumar succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. He assured that investigations were ongoing, including the examination of CCTV footage. The victim’s mother, during the protest, insisted on staying until justice was served, pointing out the evidence in the footage and demanding her right to seek justice for her son.
The family highlighted the financial loss suffered due to the attack, mentioning that the miscreants even snatched money from Bittu. Despite footage being available, no arrests had been made yet, causing distress to the family. The maternal grandmother joined the call for justice, expressing her deep bond with her grandson and emphasizing the need for accountability.
