Pune Rural Police are planning to reconstruct the crime scene at Lohagad Fort in the Ketan Agarwal murder case. This recreation is aimed at helping investigators understand the events leading to Ketan’s death and verifying the accused’s account. Elaborate preparations have been made for this exercise, with the date and time kept confidential for security reasons.
The reconstruction seeks to establish how the accused, Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Babulal Chaudhary, carried out the alleged murder. Police will determine the positions of the individuals involved at the time of the incident, identify the alleged point of pushing, and assess the fall’s trajectory and distance. The investigation heavily relies on circumstantial evidence due to the absence of eyewitnesses.
Statements from seven individuals have been recorded so far in connection with the case. Neeraj, an employee at Chetan’s shop, has been questioned extensively but no evidence links him directly to the crime. Neeraj may become a crucial witness as Chetan allegedly used his phone to communicate with Siya on the day of the incident.
Siya Goyal’s parents have expressed that if their daughter is found guilty, she should face the strictest punishment. They emotionally suggested that she should be pushed from the same spot where Ketan Agarwal fell. The legal proceedings are currently ongoing in this case.
