The Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticized the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their handling of the nationwide students’ agitation concerning the NEET paper leak. State AAP Media In-Charge Baltej Pannu expressed disappointment, stating that instead of supporting the students’ fight for justice, both parties have resorted to false accusations against the Punjab government.
Pannu highlighted the strength of the students’ movement, noting its impact on the Congress. He emphasized that the Congress and the BJP are distorting facts to mislead the public about Punjab’s record on exam paper leaks. Pannu clarified that the incident in Faridkot was not a paper leak but a case of cheating using electronic devices, with immediate legal action taken against the culprit.
Despite the clarification, Pannu criticized the Congress for misrepresenting the incident and urged them to address paper leak cases from their own tenure. He also pointed out the numerous paper leaks under the BJP-led Central government, leading to tragic consequences for many students. Pannu called for accountability and action to restore the trust of the youth in the education system.
