Punjab AAP legislator Narinder Kaur Bharaj has accused the BJP of attempting to lure her with promises of a party ticket and meeting any demand under ‘Operation Lotus’. She revealed that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had invited her for a private discussion. Kaur, a legislator from Sangrur, highlighted the BJP’s alleged nationwide strategy to destabilize elected governments through such tactics.
She emphasized her commitment to the AAP, citing her early involvement in the party and praising its principles. Kaur criticized Saini for his recent activities in Punjab, suggesting that he focus on Haryana instead. Asserting the unity within the AAP, she affirmed their dedication to improving governance and public services, rejecting any involvement in political maneuvering.
In response to the alleged BJP tactics, AAP State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu condemned the party’s actions as an attack on democracy in Punjab. Pannu contrasted the governance models of Punjab and Haryana, lauding the AAP’s approach under leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. He highlighted the resilience of AAP MLAs against attempts to influence them with monetary offers, emphasizing their commitment to serving the public.
