Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon met with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to talk about Punjab’s development and infrastructure. Dhillon appreciated the Central government and Minister Gadkari for their efforts in national highway and other projects in Punjab, emphasizing the government’s focus on strengthening the state’s road infrastructure.
Minister Gadkari highlighted the Bharatmala Project, a national initiative to build modern highways and expressways. He mentioned the Jamnagar-Amritsar Economic Corridor, connecting Punjab with key commercial centers in Rajasthan and Gujarat. These projects aim to enhance transportation and boost industry, trade, employment, and economic growth in Punjab.
Dhillon noted that all road projects in Punjab receive central funding, showcasing the government’s forward-looking approach. He criticized the Punjab Aam Aadmi Party government for not undertaking significant development work independently but rather seeking credit through advertisements. Dhillon reaffirmed the BJP-led Central government’s dedication to Punjab’s overall progress.
If a BJP government secures power in Punjab in 2027, Dhillon believes development will accelerate further, benefiting from major infrastructure projects. Earlier, Dhillon had met with party President Nitin Nabin, expressing gratitude for his leadership role and pledging to collaborate closely with party members for the state’s advancement.
