Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon met with Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda to push for the prompt functioning of the PGI Satellite Centre in Ferozepur. Dhillon expressed gratitude for being chosen to lead the party in Punjab and pledged to enhance its presence across the state.
He shared with the Health Minister his admiration for the governance model of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, highlighting its influence on Punjab’s future. Dhillon emphasized his commitment to the principles of justice, inclusiveness, secular governance, and public welfare by displaying a portrait of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in his office.
Dhillon thanked Nadda for his efforts in bolstering healthcare infrastructure in Punjab, particularly acknowledging the establishment of AIIMS Bathinda. He stressed the importance of the PGI Satellite Centre in Ferozepur in meeting the healthcare needs of the border region, benefiting residents with quality tertiary healthcare services.
The Punjab BJP leader also met with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to appreciate the simplification of eligibility criteria for compassionate government jobs for dependents of 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims. He lauded the relaxation in age limits and educational requirements, as well as the provision allowing next-generation family members to be nominated for employment, showing the BJP’s commitment to addressing historical grievances with empathy.
