Punjab BJP working President Ashwani Kumar Sharma commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing the rights of the underprivileged through the Viksit Bharat-G-RAM-G scheme. He criticized the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for allegedly neglecting the welfare of the poor. Sharma highlighted the benefits of the G-RAM-G system in curbing corruption and ensuring timely wage payments to workers.
Sharma lauded the Modi government’s reforms in the MGNREGA scheme, including an increase in workdays to 125, prompt payment guarantees, and provisions for interest and unemployment allowance. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress of misusing MGNREGA funds for years without accountability. Sharma also praised the Central government’s initiatives like the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Gas Scheme, and Ayushman Bharat for uplifting the poor by providing essential amenities.
The BJP leader criticized the Punjab government for discontinuing welfare schemes like the Dal-Atta scheme while attempting to take credit for Central government initiatives. Sharma expressed concerns over rising criminal activities in Punjab, blaming the state government for failing to maintain law and order. He accused the Chief Minister of being controlled by Delhi and failing to address security issues effectively.
