A no-confidence motion was unanimously passed by the Punjab BJP against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Aam Aadmi Party government. The motion, presented at the ‘Janta Di Vidhan Sabha’, criticized the Chief Minister for alleged misconduct in the legislative Assembly and demanded his impeachment. BJP leaders highlighted issues like gangsterism, drug-related deaths, and a decline in law and order, accusing the government of neglecting crucial matters.
The BJP leaders, including State President Sunil Jakhar and national General Secretary Tarun Chugh, criticized the government’s handling of governance and accountability. They expressed concerns over financial mismanagement, lack of transparency, and the government’s failure to address key issues. Former Union minister Vijay Sampla emphasized unfulfilled promises to the Scheduled Castes, while other leaders called for a more respectful approach to Sikh sentiments and a focus on long-term economic development policies.
The session concluded with BJP leaders asserting that the Punjab government under Bhagwant Mann’s leadership has failed in governance, eroded public trust, and should be held answerable for its actions.
