Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar criticized the Congress high command, stating that the recent public admonishment of party leaders by Rahul Gandhi in the state indicates a loss of control by the high command and a rebellious state leadership. Jakhar emphasized the need for unity within the party, highlighting the lack of focus on Punjab’s issues during the Congress rally in Barnala.

Jakhar pointed out that the rally served as a platform for the ineffective Congress high command to reprimand the state leadership publicly, showcasing a lack of strong leadership from Rahul Gandhi. He expressed concern over the Congress’s inability to handle internal matters privately, leading to public embarrassment for the state leaders.

In a separate meeting, representatives of the Sheller Association thanked Jakhar for addressing the matter of fortified rice with Union Food Supply Minister Prahlad Joshi. Jakhar praised the government’s commitment, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to resolving agricultural sector issues, emphasizing the benefits to farmers from addressing the sheller industry’s demands.
