Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar stated that the party is not afraid of FIRs filed by the Aam Aadmi Party government. He accused the government of using these actions to divert attention from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s alleged behavior of entering the Assembly in an inebriated state.
Jakhar expressed concern over the Chief Minister allegedly allowing Members of Legislative Assembly to engage in corrupt activities. He highlighted the case of Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak, who recently joined AAP and is now facing legal issues with two FIRs against him in Punjab.
The BJP chief in Punjab mentioned that the party plans to address these concerns with Governor Gulab Chand Kataria in an upcoming meeting. Jakhar criticized the alleged double standards of the AAP, claiming that individuals praised by the party are now being targeted after joining BJP.
Jakhar raised questions about the shifting stance of AAP towards its members and accused the Chief Minister of protecting his own legislators facing corruption charges. He emphasized BJP’s support for its leaders and vowed to resist any form of political vendetta.
