Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the historic Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib to honor Mata Gujri and the younger Sahibzadas, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, for their sacrifice. He emphasized the importance of Shaheedi Sabha days, known as “Days of Mourning” in Punjab, when the younger Sahibzadas were bricked alive by tyrant rulers.

CM Mann expressed pride in the global recognition of this sacrifice, with around 50 lakh devotees visiting Fatehgarh Sahib during Shaheedi Sabha. He highlighted the unmatched sacrifices that inspire future generations to stand against tyranny and injustice, calling the sacred land a source of inspiration for all.

Reflecting on the supreme sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, CM Mann praised their defense of human rights to practice one’s faith freely. He noted the enduring pain felt by Sikhs worldwide over three centuries, emphasizing the tragedy’s significance in Sikh tradition.

The Chief Minister prayed for Punjab’s prosperity, harmony, and peace, emphasizing the importance of upholding human values of brotherhood and goodwill. He assured extensive provisions for the millions of devotees attending Shaheedi Sabha, including healthcare, transport, cleanliness, and security, to ensure a smooth experience.

CM Mann highlighted the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur, commemorated with deep devotion. He announced the holy-city status for Amritsar, Talwandi Sabo, and Anandpur Sahib, fulfilling a longstanding demand of the global ‘sangat.’
