These partnerships are expected to directly benefit farmers, youth, and the state’s economy. Notable highlights include a Rs 1,300 crore JICA-supported initiative, strong interest from international firms, and advanced agricultural technology collaborations from Keukenhof to Finland.
During the visits, CM Mann’s delegation explored opportunities for partnership in the agriculture sector, focusing on horticulture development and the potential export of roses from Punjab. The discussions also centered on boosting crop diversification through the substantial investment by JICA.
Furthermore, the visit aimed at fostering industrial investments and alliances, enhancing educational and research exchanges, and promoting technology transfer for Punjab’s comprehensive growth. Joint projects in modern agricultural practices, sustainable farming, high-value crop cultivation, and export-quality production were deliberated upon, signaling a pathway for new industrial investments and skill development initiatives.
The delegation’s engagements included interactions with the World Horticulture Center, Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade, and the local Punjabi community. Discussions encompassed technology and innovation exchange, strategic partnerships, and investment promotion in sectors like semiconductor, electronics, and innovation.
