Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has encouraged residents to ensure their enumeration in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The state has already accomplished nearly 90% of electoral roll mapping, with the government committed to safeguarding genuine votes during the revision. Booth-level officers are actively verifying and revising electoral rolls through door-to-door visits until July 24.
CM Mann emphasized that no legitimate vote will be deleted during the revision process conducted by the Election Commission of India. He commended the dedication of officials and staff involved in achieving the significant milestone of 90% electoral voter mapping in Punjab. Booth-level officers are diligently assisting voters in completing enumeration forms without requesting additional documents for verification.
The Chief Minister outlined the process where households are visited multiple times for form collection, ensuring maximum participation for inclusion in the draft electoral roll. Only voters who submit completed enumeration forms will be listed in the draft, emphasizing the importance of timely participation. CM Mann urged all eligible voters to engage actively in the process to uphold democracy and strengthen electoral integrity.
